Phil Gaimon of Bissell steels the opening act at the Merco Cycling Classic.
At one point early in the race Phil had to bridge to the break that was 1:20 off the front.
Then on the last lap Carter Jones attacked but could not get away and then Gaimon countered the attack and stayed away to win the Merced Irrigation District Road Race.
