I wanted to write more than just “Happy Holidays” and “Thanks for your business”. I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you on behalf of everyone that has contributed to Cycling Illustrated. I know how much time and effort you put into making Cycling Illustrated a success. I also wanted to thank each one of our supporters, volunteers, and cyclists. Without you this site would not be possible. I thank each of you for taking time to brighten our day while keeping our slogan alive “Built by Cyclists, With Cyclists and For Cyclists.”
We would not be where we are today without your trust and confidence. I love what I do and what we are building. For your support, I am truly, truly grateful, on both a professional and personal level. When I was in high school, my friend got me a plaque about cycling and teamwork. It alluded to this: As each cyclist takes a pull it creates a DRAFT for the cyclists that follow. By riding in a single file formation it gets easier for the entire pack. When a rider falls out of formation, he/she suddenly feels the drag and resistance of riding alone. They quickly move back to take advantage of the power of the DRAFT of the pack. In life when I think about helping others, I reflect on that plaque, the pack and the draft.
With that said: There are not enough words in the dictionary to express how HONORED, GRATEFUL and BLESSED, I am to be part of THE AMAZING CYCLING ILLUSTRATED. In the spring of 2013 we will be introducing a new magazine “Cycling Illustrated the Magazine” that we truly hope you will enjoy and support as we continue to cover new ground.
I will leave you with this:
