February 14-17, 2013- Palm Springs, CA held at the luxurious and unique La Quinta Resort and Spa.
This camp is going to be epic! This is the perfect gift for anyone in your life who loves cycling and learning. I always feel that an “experience” gift is 10x better than any one “item” for an experience like this will last a lifetime.
4 Days of Epic riding, averaging 75 miles per day, and covering the most scenic and incredible climbs and rolling hills the high desert has to offer. Campers will have the opportunity to ride each day with a different Empower coach to gain the knowledge and benefits each has to uniquely offer. Each coach will be focusing on 2 specific aspects of training, form, energy expenditure, technique and tactics.
EVERYTHING is included in the list price. Campers will not touch their wallets once throughout this long weekend of adventure, training and learning. The legendary John Cobb, father of aero-dynamics will be on hand to give personal bike fits and a lecture on position and power output for peak performance. His personal fits run $500 and this is INCLUDED in your camp price. Dr. Eric Sternlicht, author of Fuel Up will be on hand giving an awesomely informative lecture on the latest research in endurance performance nutrition and will also be conducting metabolic tests, skin fold analysis and blood analysis and ALL of this is INCLUDED in the camp price. Dr. Beth McGilley will be on hand giving a lecture on Mental Toughness for Peak Performance which you do not want to miss. She is both hilarious and brilliant in her delivery.
The food will be top-notch, focused on fueling each athlete for their optimum output each day. Massages will be given daily by Steph Shafer, LMT, who will also be taping any nagging pains with Spider Tech kinesiology tape and sending the campers home with plenty of product for their personal use. She will also be teaching self-massage techniques.
Empower Coaching Systems is offering two junior scholarships to this camp, so when you pay to be part of this magnificent weekend, you can also feel good about yourself in that you are affording junior riders a chance to learn and grow in this unique environment.
