In the sport of cycling, the term sprinter is self-explanatory. And the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team’s Jake Keough, is redefining the meaning of the word with each race he’s in.
Ever a threat to land the top spot on the podium, 2011’s breakout star has shown he is a force in any sprint finish and one to watch again in 2012. The podium topping, 24 year-old from Sandwich, Massachusetts, won 9 races last year and landed on the podium more than a dozen times for his Team.
Keough, who hails from a family of cyclists, possesses the character and resolve to be a champion and has rocketed through the ranks to become one of the top sprinters in the United States and on course to be one of the best in the world.
Now entering his 5th year as a pro on the road and 16th overall in the sport, Keough recognizes the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team is built of like-minded people who have a passion for the sport and a strong desire to succeed. Look to the young gun to once again factor in heavily in the Team’s overall success this season.
