Tampa is your basic, 40-minute, four cornered, windy, flat Florida crit. The race started out pretty hard with an attack off the line. After a couple laps, the group started to settle in a bit. About ten minutes in, an attack went and there was a bit of a chase after her. She was dangling a few seconds in front of the field. I attacked going into the first corner, caught the rider up the road, and kept going. There was a chase behind me, but I tried to find a nice rhythm and settle in. It took about ten laps to lap the field. Once I caught, we had seven laps to go. A few more attacks tried to go, but it seemed everyone was content with a sprint for second. There was a crash with three to go coming out of turn three, so with one to go I went to the front to stay safe. I had my teammate Nadia on my wheel. The sprint started out of the last turn down the long straight to the finish. I am not sure of the name of the pepper palace girl who got second. Elizabeth Morse Hill was third and Nadia Latzgo was 4th.
